Adi Chaham week 7: Grocery Stores
Today, as I was contemplating what I should write about for this week’s blog post, I remembered reading Dina’s blog post about her sort-of water review. I then remembered the comment I had written from the blog post about how much I love reviews whether it’d be water, food or even store reviews. And that was it! I had an idea. I was gonna do a Store/Grocery Store Review!
I’m not gonna go through all the grocery stores, of course. I’m just gonna focus on the big three: Target, Walmart and Publix and add in a bit about Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market.
Most of you guys may already know this but I love Target and of course, Target is number one on my list. I simply love everything about it. From the second you walk in, you feel great as you are welcomed into the 1,3,and 5 dollar section. From the makeup and clothes isles, to the food isles, to the self-checkout, I think Target is the best store if you're bored and want to do something, or if you don't feel like going to the mall and need something.
Next up on the ranking is Publix. Publix is pretty good. It doesn’t have as many options as Target and is basically just a grocery store with food and things that are needed to make food. Overall, Publix is kinda boring and I would never go there if I was bored. However, it has pretty good grocery stuff and I could always count on it to have sushi, fresh fruits and my favorite Kind bars.
Finally, we have on the very bottom of my list, Walmart. In every way possible, I dislike Walmart. Yes, It’s the closest grocery store to my house but I'm willing to drive the extra 4 minutes to get to Target. Walmart, in my opinion, is very sketchy and yes, it might have some more food options than Publix or Target, but I'm willing to live without these food options. I have until now, and I will continue to. Not only is Walmart as I mentioned sketchy, but it’s also just not fun to go there. The second I enter the store, I want to leave and the lines are always so long. A few days ago, I went to Walmart because I had to go there to buy some stuff as they didn’t have these things in the first two places I mentioned and neither my card nor was my friend's card working and I had to pay in cash. Now, I knew I had money on my card because I spoke with my mom and she said I had, so the machines were simply just not working. Anyways, Walmart is not it.
To Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market, you guys are too far to drive too and therefore, I don’t come shopping very often at your store. But overall, you have pretty good stuff. I especially love Trader Joe's items because they are pretty unusual and cool. For example, I love their almonds covered almond butter.
What’s your favorite grocery store?
Even though you didn't mention this one, I personally love Walgreens. It's not really for any specific reason, I just do. I feel like its a fun place to stop at any time and they always have good snack and drink options.
ReplyDeleteI love Publix. Literally nothing beats Publix for me. Walking into the store and smelling the bakery, seeing the many aisles, and hearing the beeps of the scanners is an unbeatable experience for me.
ReplyDeletePersonally, my favorite grocery store has to be Target. It just has everything. Food, clothes, technology, home decor, you name it, Target's got it. Not to mention the fact that Target literally has stores within it. Starbucks and Ulta are both stores that are inside of Target!
