Liam Meldung - Week 5 - Superstore!

            Superstore is a show on Hulu about a store, kind of like Walmart or Target, where every episode has a different main plot point and follows the group of characters through different problems they face. It reminds me a lot of sitcoms like The Office and Big Bang Theory. 

            I started the show when I was in Barcelona this summer and was sick for the first week of my teen tour. I really enjoyed it, but then forgot about it when I got back and only started rewatching it from where I stopped when I visited Toronto during the holidays. I got hooked again. In Toronto and in Barcelona it’s on Netflix so I thought when I got back I wouldn’t be able to watch it, but then I found it on Hulu and jumped for joy. 

            If I were to rate this show out of ten, ten being the best it could be, I would give it a seven. It’s a great show and it definitely has episodes that are better than others but sometimes it can be a bit over the top. Like every show I have favorite characters and hated characters. If you watched it, tell me if you agree. I really like Amy because she is just level headed and brings the normal to the group while still being crazy and making it all funny. I also like Cheyenne, Mateo, Dina, and Glenn, but some of the others are really annoying. I feel like I have to like Jonah, but I really don’t, he bothers me. Same with Garret he bothers me so much. He just acts like this nonchalant, cool character, but he really is just being annoying about it cause he doesn’t care about anything.

            The show is super funny, in my opinion, and if you’re looking for something to watch that has short episodes and doesn’t have any cliffhangers that draw you to the next episode and then get you to binge watch until you're done the whole show then this is a good choiceThe episodes are nice and short and I might want to keep watching after one episode, but I can stop  more easily than after watching a show with it leading me into the next episode.

Adi Chaham week 10: Naps

       I dislike naps. I find that most people enjoy taking naps but there are very few that don’t, and I am one of those people.  I can’t explain it, but naps just ruin my entire day and I find sleeping at night to be much more beneficial than falling asleep after school.  Let me try to explain using the most simple scenario. You just had a long day at school so you come home. Instead of doing your homework or doing whatever you usually do after school, you fall asleep. An hour to two passes and it's now 6pm. Now, this is the part that bothers me the most. Maybe it just happens to me but you wake up all confused as to what time it is and bam, the rest of your day gets messed up.      The common app essay is stressful, to say the least. This 650-word essay has a huge impact on our college admissions; an excellent essay can be the one thing that gets you into your dream school, while a bad essay will do the opposite. Knowing this, I spent a lot of time strategically preparing and thinking about what I was going to write about.
