Rosalie Weiss- Week 2- Why I Prefer Cats to Dogs
As many of you may know, I am terrified of dogs, and refuse to be in the same room as one, regardless of the size or breed. This fear likely stems from my lack of experience with dogs, as while I did have a dog when I was younger, he died when I was around seven years old, and I have not really interacted with one since. I did, however, interact with cats. My aunt has two cats that she got at least six years ago, and everytime I visited her, which was frequent as she also lives in boca, I would play with them. While I was definitely afraid of them at first, the more time I spent with them, the smaller my fear became.
Everybody knows that cats are pretty chill. They just sit there looking cute, waiting for you to pet them. Dogs on the other hand, are super unchill. They will trample, chase, and bark at you, which is not something I enjoy. Still, there are some exceptions, with some cats acting like dogs and some dogs acting like cats. Even in these situations, I still find cats to be the superior pet, as I can’t help but find them to be cuter than dogs.
In the end of a day, whether you prefer cats or dogs depends on the individual. Personally, I vibe better with cats, but can see why others may favor dogs. What do you think? Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Personally, I consider myself more of a dog person, but I definitely do see the appeal in cats. I have a cat myself, along with two dogs, and I love all three of them to death. I have noticed though that my dogs show me affection more often than my cat does. I find the constant affection dogs give outweighs the barking and chasing. Although, I still do love my cat, Abu. He may not be just as affectionate as my dogs, Rosie and Bella, but he definitely does know the most adorable ways to show us the love he has for us.
