Rosalie Weiss- Week 10- Recovering From a Concussion
The day before this blog was due, I hit my head pretty hard during a soccer game. I thought I was fine at first, but as I started driving home, I began feeling sick and ended up throwing up in the target parking lot. I then went to the hospital, which was conveniently right across the street, and was told I had a mild concussion. I didn't follow the concussion recovery rules all that well and even went away for thanksgiving which, in hindsight, was not the best decision. Still, my symptoms were barely noticeable, and I genuinely didn't think I had a problem until I returned to school the next week. As I began working again, I noticed how much my thinking had slowed, how frequently I forgot words, and how little motivation I had. I also found myself unable to comprehend any mildly difficult text, and it hurt my head to even try.
